Joshua Petker

Joshua Petker paints predominantly portraits of women, for the most part, using found canvas & frames - to his advantage. The result is a recognizable body of work & painterly style that distinguishes him from his peers. Joshua is a proclaimed self-taught painter, although he did study drawing in Italy for a brief time. His natural ability came from tagging the streets, & his vibrant use of color is a reflection of his past. Joshua’s first exhibit with us, Portraits was well received.

Joshua Petker was recently selected to participate in the Arts Here and Now Program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
