David Glynn

David Glynn is a professional portrait painter with an edge – albeit a subtle one. His messages are rooted in classical oil painting techniques while adding an element of distinction by incorporating the use of grey-tones & color in separate ways on a single canvas. The result is work that is skilled yet accessible & classic yet current without being trendy. On a metaphorical level his work questions the color of skin in general & the perceptions of race identity via complexion or questions the realism in actions based on color vs. black & white.
